Company is designing an innovative system to treat cardiac arrhythmia.
The system includes state of the art catheter fabrication, signal processing
and 3D imaging technologies.
Responsible for and lead the design and development of a novel minimally
invasive miniature catheter from concept identification to FDA approval. The
role will involve both in-house design work as well as management of outsource
partners.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidates will be a self starter experienced in working in
innovative product design environments. Excellent knowledge of theoretical and
practical fundamentals as well as experimental engineering techniques and a
solid ability to manage several projects simultaneously are required.
BS or relevant degree.
Excellent working knowledge of 3D CAD tools (Solid / ProE / Etc.).
Minimum of 2 years experience in the medical device industry.
Experience in taking a product from initial design to market.
Work experience in FDA regulatory environment is a plus.
Experience in catheter design is a plus.

This position is responsible for managing hardware electrical engineering
personnel involved in the design and develop of new and existing products.
This position is authorized for financial expenditures/commitment levels as
defined by the company Expenditures/Commitments Policy.
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
· Managing electrical hardware development group for Class III medical device
systems.
· Driving high performance.
· Budgeting and resource management.
· Coaching and mentoring software engineers.
· Performing annual reviews and establishing and measuring goals for personnel
in group.
· Maintain and improve development procedures to ensure compliance to all
regulatory and quality requirements.
· Assuring employees understanding and compliance with the companys
mission, values and procedures.
· Maintain GMP systems, including pre-production quality assurance procedures,
pre- clinical testing programs, and post production GMP compliance in
coordination with the Document Control, Clinical, and Quality Assurance
functions.
· Support company mission, values, goals and objectives, policies and
procedures, Quality System Regulations, and FDA regulations.
· Performs other duties as may be required by supervisor.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
· Project leadership - lead development projects.
· Technical Design - Apply electrical engineering knowledge to the design and
development of new products as well as product changes and enhancements. Solve
electrical engineering problems at the component through system level.
· Contribute to the intellectual property position of the company via invention
and patent applications.
· Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and
processes.
· Maintain current knowledge of competitive technologies in addition to
medical, technical, and biomedical developments related to company products.
· Oversee outside vendors and consultants as required.
· Training new and current employees on procedures and regulations.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
· This position may require some business travel.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
· Minimum 10 years electrical design experience.
· Minimum 3 years management experience
· Class III Medical Device Experience
· Good writing, communications, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
· Good Quality System Regulation (QSR) knowledge and experience
